Lost - 3.5 x 5.5 inch miniature

Published:

Description

3.5 x 5.5 inch graphite on bristol board. I find getting a good image of a pencil drawing difficult, this is the best I can get at the moment. (its slightly spotty and the background should be the white paper)

The framed image shows the white of the paper :thumb367707927:

Another miniature using :iconthrumyeye:'s beautiful photograph as the reference...thrumyeye.deviantart.com/galle…

i love this! graphite is kinda hard to use, but you use this difficulty to your advantage sketching this kitten. 'lost' depicts to me, a kitten sitting next to a cement wall, wondering, 'which way is home?' seeing this i wonder for a moment, will the kitten make it home... it appears to be a real kitten, not just a drawing, a kitten waiting to jump up and out of my computer screen, landing nimbly into my lap. it symbolizes the child inside us all. i reach out expecting to touch a pelt of soft fur, but instead feel the smooth computer screen. 5 on the vision, 5 on the originality, 5 on the technique, and this impacts me enough for a million . keep up the good work and i hope to see another beauty like this in my watch list again!
