24x30 inch Pastel on cream Canson paper
This was a commission . It was a huge rottweiller and slept with his owners. They absolutely adored him and were told he didnt have long to live. So I made an extra effort to immortalise this loved family member.
Photo slightly out of focus, scanning photo has lost some of the detail, didnt have a digital camera at that time.
The background was a creamy colour, cannot get that pink out even in photoshop.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI love this, when I had first looked at this with out it enlarged i swore it was a photograph. You did an amazing job on the detail of how the fur lays, the way the wrinkles fold, and the shading. You did very well on the over all body of the subject, the anatomy was correct. Wow the eyes are stunning. You look at them and you seem to get lost in them. They seem to tell a tale of their own. And most importantly you did this with pastel, I think that that is a feat in its own. Over all I think that this is an amazing piece of work and I think that anyone would put this up in their living room. Very nice!
